August 2025

 Hello again

Brief catch up of some of the highlights happening in my journey.   Did manage to get 3 entries finished for my guild’s (cvqgny) quilt show for August.

My mothers last quilt she worked on with me. Using 3generations of solid fabric scraps.  She did the whole top, i just had the privilege to finish for her.  I titled it-“Her Works”.

“Radiance” is finally a wallhanging made with Kim Diehl fabrics.  This project started by a class I took from Audrey Hall at Wadhams in Odgensburg quite a few years ago.  It hangs in my kitchen.

The folded star tablemat started by purchasing a kit from Shabby Fabrics of the Plum Easy patterns, followed with a guild class taught by Maryann Duprey. Of course still being a rebel that I am, I didn’t follow their vision and did it my way.

The reverse I used fabrics and assembled it pillowcase style so the at is reversible.  Intense May Flowers on the front with my interpretation of a Splash 💦 on the back for Spring time & April showers.

Youngest GS#3, Brody has a R foot fracture courtesy the soccer match on 8/29/25.  He’ll be seeing a specialist this week.

The Keurig I won 3 yrs ago quit and I only used it for 2 weeks, if that!  Anyhow, I was always a tea drinker and now I really enjoy my French Vanilla coffee. Who knew?!

So I purchased a new machine (Airmsen), rearranged and set up my new coffee station between the kitchen & dining room.
Don’t be alarmed though, a barista I am not!

My PGD#1, McKenna has gone back to SUNY Oneida for her junior year.  This is her first apartment set up for this year.

Here she is with her family after they got her moved in. Notice that tall one was standing on his own still at the time, and the most loved Scoobs in her arms❣️

Spent a week away with my peeps at the Air BnB on Lake Champlain.  Always a fabulous time and wonderful getaway.

State Champions Hockey 16U Select

Brody holding the well sought after Trophy

Brody and his life long friend, Robbie
enjoying their hard worked for medals.

The youngest grandson, Brody- now 16 and driving with a permit, participated  this last weekend with the 16U Select Hockey Team to play at the "States" in Buffalo.   They had an astonishing record of all wins and no losses going into the final competitive rounds as the top seed.

SUCCESS!  They won the 2025 States Championship.    So proud of all these young men.

As most everyone realizes, these teams don't get there without the never-ending support from family, friends and the local communities - as they says:  "it takes a village".   To boost morale a locale business made fat heads of the players so the fans could label themselves of which player they stood with.  Here are some of the Moms sporting them and Giggling as they are too cute!

YEAH TEAM!

Who cheered from afar as I helped with the grand dog, Scoobs in their absence.

2025 - Yeah!

More will be occurring this year as I’ve been such a neglectful blogger.  Yet I still place

people over things

Every.  Single.  Time.

The last several years have been momentous in numerous categories in life’s chapters. Learned loads, gained so much wisdom and loved as I could as I dealt with life. This year I plan to blog hopefully once a month.  Time will tell

Wishing anyone who visits

a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Years, Sprinkled in with many lovely adventures.
